Biography

Mike Hixenbaugh is a senior investigative reporter for NBC News, based in Houston. He graduated from the University of Akron in 2007 before going to work at newspapers in Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia and Texas.

Antonia Hylton is a correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC, reporting at the intersection of politics, civil rights, and immigration. Prior to joining NBC, Antonia was a correspondent and producer at Vice News Tonight, where she won an Emmy for her reporting on family separations at the southern border.

Frannie Kelley is a producer, editor and reporter who grew up all over the place and stays on the road for work. She’s made radio and podcasts with NPR, Spotify, Vox, Slate, Facebook, and NBC News.

Reid Cherlin is the managing editor of the audio unit at NBC News and executive producer of the unit's narrative podcasts. Prior to joining NBC News, Reid was head writer at Vice News Tonight. Early in his career he served in the White House and on Capitol Hill.

Julie Shapiro is the assistant managing editor for enterprise at NBC News Digital, where she oversees features and investigations. Previously, she was an editor at TIME and DNAinfo New York, and she has also covered New York City as a reporter.
