Announcement of the 2020 Pulitzer Prizes

Columbia University today announces the 2020 Pulitzer Prizes, awarded on the recommendation of the Pulitzer Prize Board. The Board also announces the election of its two co-chairs: Stephen Engelberg, Editor-in-Chief, ProPublica, and Aminda Marqués Gonzalez, President, Publisher and Executive Editor, Miami Herald.

'Award Contenders': The Eagle Eye on Its Pulitzer Entry

Students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student newspaper The Eagle Eye submitted two issues for Pulitzer consideration this year, culminating in an acknowledgement from Pulitzer Administrator Dana Canedy at the announcement.

The 91st Academy Awards ceremony will be held on February 24. Pulitzer-winning books, plays and journalism all have been adapted for the big screen — and five of those adaptations went on to win an Oscar for Best Picture.
