Julie Pace, senior vice president and executive editor of The Associated Press, and Vijay Iyer, a composer, pianist and professor at Harvard University, have been elected to the Pulitzer Prize Board, the Pulitzer Prize Administrator’s Office announced today.

The 2026 Pulitzer Journalism competition (encompassing eligible work published in calendar year 2025) has opened. The deadline for entry is January 26, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific time. The 2026 Pulitzer Prize winners and nominated finalists will be announced on Monday, May 4, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time. Click above to review key guidelines and other important information.
