Reminder: Final deadline for the Music and Drama Prizes is December 31, 2017

While we enjoy the fleeting beauty of special Pulitzer Prize winner Ray Bradbury's "October Country," please be advised that the 2018 Drama and Music competitions will close at the stroke of midnight (Hawaii–Aleutian Standard Time) on December 31. Submissions must be postmarked on or before December 31 to be eligible for both Prizes.

Submission guidelines for the Drama Prize may be read here. Guidelines for the Music Prize may be retrieved here.

With respect to the latter award, please note that we encourage submissions from the full spectrum of American musical artistry that meet the statutory criteria, including all derivations of popular music.

While preparing your entry, please note that the URL for the entry site is http://ldmentrysite.pulitzer.org. http://entrysite.pulitzer.org will direct you to the entry site for the Journalism Prizes, which will be open concurrently beginning in early December.

Should you have any additional questions, please contact us at (212) 854-3841 or [email protected]. Our office is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays save for Election Day (November 7) and the four-day Thanksgiving weekend. Any weekend correspondence that is not particularly exigent will be answered the following Monday.

Additionally, please note that our office will be physically closed during the December 25-December 29 work week and on New Year's Day. Accordingly, we strongly recommend submitting your entries well in advance of the December 31 deadline. During the holiday, email inquiries to [email protected] will be answered at 4 p.m. and midnight Eastern time on a daily basis.

Best of luck!
