It's time to log on to the Pulitzer entry site — deadlines are approaching for the 2018 Prize cycles in Drama, Music and Jouralism.
Drama entries are due by December 31, 2017. The Drama Prize is awarded "for a distinguished play by an American author, preferably original in its source and dealing with American life." A full list of past winners is here. Productions opening in the United States between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017 are eligible. Drama submission guidelines and requirements are available here.
Music entries also must be submitted by December 31, 2017. The Music Prize is awarded "for distinguished musical composition by an American that has had its first performance or recording in the United States during the year." Entries in the 14 Journalism categories are due January 25, 2018. Magazines and their websites may now enter in in all 14 categories, while the Breaking News Reporting category now encompasses local, state and national coverage.
