Hate and racism in the South gave rise to ‘social justice journalism’

"The Voices of Social Justice and Equality" event at Poynter Institute will highlight the achievements of journalists and others who produced Pulitzer Prize-winning work in the service of civil rights, social equality and democracy.

This Pulitzer Prize Centennial Marquee event will be held at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, FL on March 31 and April 1st.
