Book entry deadline is Oct. 1

The deadline for entry in the 2017 Pulitzer Prize Book competition is October 1, 2016.  We have replaced our paper entry form with an online entry process.  Applications for all book prizes, including submission of author photos, bios and payment of entry fees, must be done through our entry site.   Please visit www.pulitzer.org/how_to_enter for more information.

If there are titles first published earlier this year that you still wish to submit, please proceed to do so. And remember, books published in October, November and December must be submitted for the October 1 deadline in galleys or page-proof form.

Note that the site is only for filing applications and paying for entries.  Four hardcover or paperback copies of each submitted title must still be forwarded to our office at: 709 Pulitzer Hall, 2950 Broadway, Columbia University, New York, NY  10027.  Books must be postmarked by October 1 and received at the Puitzer Office no later than October 15.

The nonrefundable $50 entry fee per title must now be paid by credit card on the entry site.  The site will allow you to pay for entries individually or as a group.  Books will not be forwarded to jurors until payment has been received.

If you have any questions or are not sure whether your entries are complete, please call us at 212/854-3841, or email [email protected]
