Before the Pulitzer Prize Board meets to pick the winners of the prizes each year, juries read, view and discuss all submitted work and narrow the entries to three finalists.
There are 13 journalism juries and seven juries for books, Drama and Music. The jurors, 102 of them in all, constitute the engine of the prize process, and we thank them for their work this year.
In February, the journalism and Music juries met at the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University. As they finished up their work, Sara Pepitone of the Pulitzer office took pictures of as many juries as she could catch.
