Administrator Marjorie Miller will announce the 2022 winners and finalists via livestream on Monday, May 9 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time.
Miller, Vice President and Global Enterprise Editor at The Associated Press, has been named administrator of the Pulitzer Prizes after a broad search.
The exhibition honors the career of the influential 1950 Poetry winner.
The deadline for submission is January 25, 2022.
Applebaum, an author and staff writer for The Atlantic, and Escobar, the editor and senior vice president of The Philadelphia Inquirer, have been elected to the Pulitzer Prize Board.
The entry portals will close at 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on December 31. Digital submissions are required in both categories.
