The entry site will close on December 31, while digital submissions are now permitted in both categories.
The new prize will be awarded “For a distinguished example of audio journalism that serves the public interest, characterized by revelatory reporting and illuminating storytelling."
Highlights include early reportage from Peter Arnett and Relman Morin's coverage of the Little Rock Nine.

“Both as distinguished journalists and past Pulitzer Prize winners, Lozada and Remnick bring deep knowledge and a wealth of experience to the board. We are delighted to welcome them,” Pulitzer Prize Administrator Dana Canedy said.
